Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance do you book?
I book 1–2 months out at a time. Weekends tend to fill up first, so if you’re hoping for a Saturday appointment, please reach out as soon as booking opens to secure your spot. I try to refrain from closing my books, and am open to all inquiries unless otherwise disclosed on my Instagram or website.
What are your rates?
My hourly rate is $300 here in NYC.
I offer two session formats and offer flat rates for each. Please inquire for specific rates here.
Half Day: 3–4 hours
Full Day: 7 hours
How do deposits work?
A deposit is required to book your appointment and hold your spot on the calendar.
Deposits are non-refundable, non-transferable, and not considered payment for the design.
The deposit is $300 for a single session, or $600 if booking back-to-back sessions.
Your deposit is carried to your final session and applied to the total cost of your tattoo.
A 72hr rescheduling notice is required if you need to rebook your session. Failure to rebook before then will result in a collection of your deposit, since it would be considered a last minute cancellation.
You get one free reschedule with your deposit, if you reach out within the grace period.
When will I see my design?
Designs are shown the day of your session.
I only tattoo one client per day to dedicate my full creative focus to your piece. There is no pressure to settle with something you aren’t happy with, so working this way allows us to get the time to communicate and collaborate if needed.
What is your Touch-Up policy?
Touch ups only apply to tattoos I have done, start to finish.
Touch ups are free within the first 6 months. They are NOT mandatory and ultimately will be done at my discretion. A touch up is considered a touch up if things didn’t heal 100% right — not if you decide to change your mind about an existing color, want to color something in what was intended to be empty, or wanting to add new elements to the existing tattoo.
Reach out within the 6 month window to book your session. After 6 months, cost of touch ups will vary depending on the tattoo and how much work is needed. My hourly rate for touch ups older than 6 months is $150.
I love getting to make things perfect, so don’t feel shy about asking for an appointment.
Signs of needing a touch up: patchy/missing color or faded/inconsistent lines that should otherwise be uniform.
What should I do before my appointment?
Please eat a full meal before you arrive. Refrain from heavy drinking the night before. If you are hungover I will rebook your session, and collect your deposit as payment for the day.
I provide plenty of snacks, tea, soda, and seltzers, and you’re welcome to bring your own lunch. There’s a fridge available for storage, but please note there’s no microwave in the studio.
What should I wear?
Dress comfortably and consider accessibility to the area being tattooed. If modesty is important to you, plan your outfit accordingly so you can stay comfortable and covered as needed.
Can I bring something to do during my session?
Absolutely. Feel free to bring a book, headphones, or anything that helps you relax.
I also have a projector if you’d like to watch a movie during your session.
I love to chat while I work, but if you’d rather zone out or stay quiet—that’s totally fine too.
What if I am running late to my session?
If you are an hour late to your session, without notice, you will have to reschedule. I completely get it: life happens. But, showing up on time is integral to the process.
That being said, do not arrive early. My NYC location is a private studio and I sometimes arrive around the same time you do. The door to the studio is locked if I am not there, thus you will not have a comfortable space to wait.
Can I bring someone with me?
Please ask me in advance. I host guest artists who work beside me, and the studio quickly fills up with people. It is about a 250sqft space. I love people, but sometimes it’s hard to accommodate everyone.
